As a Fintech, our bread and butter are financial software: our aixigo BLOXX, which is modular, APIs-based software.
The interfaces we offer mainly do financial calculations which, combined with a user-interface, are used by financial institutions and advisers in their daily business. This business can be quite complex and aixigo provides documentation in a dedicated Community Portal that can be accessed by anyone interested. Additionally, aixigo has grown its own Academy and offers courses that navigate through the software’s complexity.
The Community Portal is not only a documentation hub but is also used as marketing and selling tool for our software. In the Community Portal you can try the APIs and operate the software with your own data. The Community Portal has grown and has great quality, but we never found the time to really dive deep into the needs of our users. Additionally, there are ways to expand the Community Portal as well as the Academy, but we first need to understand better the user groups we want to attract. Therefore, one of the core goals is to win new subscribers and to convince them to become part of our aixigo community. The focus is to demonstrate added value that motivates subscribers to revisit our portal and take an active role within our social community.
To better understand the needs of our core target groups is a base for our work to promote and position the Community Portal and the Academy as accelerators for our company. We want to have a clear view on who we address and how to serve them best. We also would like to identify possible new user groups and how they can be attracted and attained as part of our community.

Can you help us to draw a picture of the personas we need to address as the base for our day-to-day work, to make marketing campaigns more successful, sales meetings more effective, attain new users and make it easier for new users to find their way around, depending on who they are and what they want to do.
