Join the Future Vision Landgraaf 2050 Project!

The municipality of Landgraaf is a dynamic organization led by the city council and the board of mayor and aldermen. With a dedicated team of 450 employees, working for 37000 inhabitants. We focus on services, spatial planning, and social affairs. Our mission is to create a sustainable and prosperous future for our community.

We are developing a comprehensive Future Vision for Landgraaf in 2050, addressing significant challenges in sustainability, growing up and living healthy and with opportunities, housing, and livability. This vision will guide our policy areas and organizational structure towards achieving four central themes: People, Planet, Profit, and Organization.

We need innovative and analytical minds to help us understand the concrete contributions our policy areas can make to these themes and the societal impacts they will have!

We would like PREMIUM students to investigate what the draft Future Vision means for the concrete contribution of our policy areas to the four central themes (People, Planet, Profit & Organization) and societal effects of the vision for the area of Landgraaf. Also considering the impact of the border location and Euregional data on the future development of Landgraaf. Additionally, students should analyze what this means for the future organization of our municipality. In short, what effects does the vision have on the organization in a broad sense (policy, resources, etc.), and what adjustments are needed in our current policy and resources to realize the Future Vision Landgraaf 2050.

Opportunities for Students:

  • Participate in impactful research that shapes strategic decisions and policy adjustments.
  • Analyze and propose adjustments to our current policies and resources.
  • Contribute to the reorganization of municipal operations, fostering efficiency and innovation.
  • Help determine how our policies and organization need to change to achieve the 2050 goals.
  • Provide valuable insights that will help political parties develop election programs and coalition agreements for 2026.

Whether you’re studying economics, business, law, cultural sciences, or sustainability, your skills are valuable to us. Your work will directly influence the future of Landgraaf, Parkstad, and South Limburg, making a tangible difference in the community.
