The Project

The Project

Discover an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in healthcare with Zuyderland!
Our organization, born from the merger of Atrium Medical Center Parkstad and Orbis Medical and Care Concern Sittard-Geleen, is dedicated to transforming healthcare in Limburg.

Join us in addressing a pressing issue – workplace violence against nurses. Despite our best efforts, the problem persists. A recent survey revealed that 32% of our staff experienced physical or verbal violence in the past 3 months, significantly higher than the regional average of 20.5%.

As a student participant in our PREMIUM project, you’ll have a chance to delve into this challenge. Explore strategies to support nurses in dealing with aggression, violence, and inappropriate behaviour, fostering a safer environment for all. You’ll investigate policies, house rules, training, and communication methods to mitigate these issues.

Your work will be crucial in shaping the future of healthcare at Zuyderland. The results of your research will be presented to our Nursing Staff Board and Chief Nursing Officer, guiding the implementation of recommendations and driving positive change.

Join us in our commitment to improving healthcare and enhancing the well-being of our dedicated nursing staff. Be a part of the solution at Zuyderland!
