Schneider Electric

Transform technical ESG-financial analysis results into compelling narratives and reports to showcase the tangible financial benefits of sustainability initiatives.

The Project

The Project

Schneider Electric is a global leader in energy management and automation, helping homes, businesses, and industries operate more efficiently and sustainably. At our sustainability solutions division, we are committed to demonstrating how climate action and financial performance go hand in hand.

We are inviting students to join us in a project that will directly shape how we communicate the value of sustainability initiatives.

This year’s PREMIUM project focuses on analyzing last year’s research on the impact of ESG reporting on corporate financial performance. While the original project used regression analyses to uncover technical insights, the key challenge now is translating these results into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with a wide audience.

This is an opportunity to bridge the gap between data and communication, turning complex information into compelling stories that inspire action and strengthen Schneider Electric’s positioning as a sustainability-driven organization.

As a PREMIUM student team, you will work closely with internal experts from compliance, sustainable finance, and marketing communications. Your tasks will include interpreting analytical results, identifying key insights, and structuring them into a professional, accessible report. This report will serve as a marketing and communication tool, helping stakeholders—including clients, partners, and the broader public—understand the tangible benefits of ESG initiatives. Your work will be credited in the publication, giving you real visibility for your contribution.

At Schneider Electric, we believe that climate action and commercial viability are inherently intertwined and not mutually exclusive. Recent policies, especially the EU Sustainable Finance Strategy, have significantly strengthened the link between these dimensions. For instance, the CSRD strives to align ESG and financial reporting and to bring them to the same level of importance. However, we have yet to explore how these dimensions mutually influence each other in practice. Publishing a study demonstrating the financial benefits of climate and sustainability action would be very valuable in showcasing to clients the tangible returns of such initiatives.

By joining this project, you will explore how ESG factors impact business outcomes, learn how to craft narratives that convey complex data effectively, and understand how research findings can influence both stakeholder engagement and corporate strategy. Moreover, you will contribute to a publication that has real-world impact, demonstrating to companies the business case for sustainable action in the context of EU policy and global climate objectives.

If you are interested in sustainability, data analysis, and strategic communication, and want to see your insights applied in a global business context, then this project offers a unique opportunity. Join Schneider Electric and be part of a team that turns technical findings into stories that matter, helping companies see how climate action and commercial success can go hand in hand.
