Decolonizing the Curriculum: A Practical guide for Educators and Practitioners<\/strong><\/p>\n

This two-part CPD series unpacks the concept of decolonization and explores where the call for decolonizing the curriculum comes from, as well as the potential it has to facilitate more interactive, inclusive, and dynamic approach to learning.<\/p>\n

During the webinar, our speaker, Aincre Evans (UCM, Maastricht University) will provide concrete recommendations as to how such decolonizing practices can be implemented on a class, course and institutional level .\u00a0 This presentation is open to all Maastricht University staff, as well as colleagues at YUFE European Universities<\/strong> and will be followed by a Q&A, moderated by a chair.\u00a0 This session will also be recorded for those who cannot attend.<\/p>\n

A follow-up, online workshop is also being offered for those who are ready to start putting these recommendations into practice in their education.\u00a0 The workshop will be highly interactive where colleagues can give and receive feedback and share ideas with other practitioners.\u00a0 As the session focuses on small-scale problem-based learning education, this is open to just 20 Maastricht University staff members<\/strong> but will be also offered again at a later date should there be enough interest.\u00a0 If you cannot make it to the online workshop on Sept 16th (or if it is already full) you can register your interest in a future session here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The overarching aim of this series is not solely to engage in open conversation about decolonization within universities, but also to provide a more concrete foundation for translating these conversations into tangible practice.<\/p>\n
