Meaningful Professionalisation
11 December 2024 – 09.00-11.00
1x 1-2 hour preparation (watching a webinar prior to workshop)
1x 2-hour workshop online via Zoom
Description
With our experience in teaching and supervising students we will all agree that reflecting on your practice is an important tool to understand and monitor your progress and professional growth. Thus making professionalisation meaningful. But what exactly is reflection? Why is it important and what are helpful models that can support you to reflect effectively? In this 2-hour online workshop we will take a closer look at these questions and highlight the relevance of reflection in professional development of teachers and learners.
Intended learning outcomes
In participating in this CPD activity, you will:
… gain insight into how reflecting on your teaching can benefit your own professionalisation and teaching and learning activities,
… learn more about the ALACT Model by Fred Korthagen and how to use it effectively,
… discuss the relation between theory and practice leading to meaningful (teaching) professionalisation.
