CPD workshop: Intervision

CPD workshop: Intervision

27 June 2023

Description workshop

All staff, including student assistants and peer supporters, can encounter students who struggle with mental health issues or study stress. In this workshop, staff can present and discuss cases with a UM psychologist and get more insight in how to help this student.

Preparation for this workshop is not mandatory but is recommended. This workshop will be more in-dept so being informed on the possible referral routes and possibilities within UM and outside is beneficial. If you want to start at the basis we recommend to follow a staff workshop by the UM psychologist (e.g Fostering students employability and wellbeing, Addressing challenging behaviour, Stress and anxiety or Perfectionism) or check our online staff modules offer Staff support students – Maastricht University.

This workshop gives you the opportunity to get ‘case’ deep into a mental health problem.

About the trainers

In these challenging times, student mental health has never been more important. Students might not always have the required skills yet to overcome the challenges they are faced with. Therefore the UM Psychologists and the UM Wellbeing Movement strive to make students more resilient and provide them with sufficient means to acquire skills that promote wellbeing during their studies and further in their professional career and life. At UM, there are many initiatives, programmes and plans that can contribute to student wellbeing and at the end of this workshop we will provide you with an introduction and overview of these ventures. Already interested? A broad range of (online) lectures, workshops and training sessions have been developed for students to develop themselves personally and professionally. Check out the complete offer: www.maastrichtuniversity.nl/student-wellbeing
