CPD Professional Development Webinar: Creating Education 4.0

Creating Education 4.0 for the future and beyond: May the Fourth be with you

Webinar 14th March 2024

Description

A whistle-stop tour reflecting on the evolution of higher education over the past 1,000 years, super-accelerated by the pandemic and AI pivots.

Gilly Salmon emphasizes that we can and should keep our values, but also clearly define new  visions and  methods to equip our students with the skills and knowledge to adapt to our rapidly changing societies and worlds of work.

We should ‘future-proof’ as far as we can, whilst accepting education futures are uncertain and fast changing. We can identify curricula and modes of learning to prepare students for enabling Industry 4.0,  graduates to fulfill worthwhile, sustainable, multiple careers and to become contributing citizens of globalization 4.0 during their long lives.

MAY the fourth be with you?

Learning Outcomes

  • Hindsight, insight, and foresight.
  • A lens to view students and graduates for the future of an uncertain and fast-changing global world
  • Pointers to practical pedagogical designs and tools for the future
