Each year more than 200 families and 500 volunteers participate. Wigwam is a charity foundation, and dependent on the presence of volunteers. Due to the increase in the demand for our healthcare holidays, the demand for volunteers is also increasing. Nevertheless, the labor market is changing due to societal factors and it’s difficult to predict how this will develop over the upcoming years. This will have (negative) consequences for volunteer recruitment and binding. Therefore, we’re in a critical need to anticipate on these societal developments.
The presence of sufficient volunteers is a critical factor for the continuity of Stichting Wigwam. The supply and binding of (sufficient) volunteers is becoming increasingly scarce in today’s society and labor market. Besides creating an optimal brand image and volunteer campaign, and thereby increasing the number of volunteers, it’s of importance to be aware about future factors that might have impact on volunteer recruitment. Therefore we would like to critically and structurally determine these factors.
The primary aim of this project is to design a framework for volunteer recruitment and binding, taking into account a growth strategy and future developments of the labor/volunteer market.
We’re confident that PREMIUM students have the knowledge and skills to help Wigwam, from different perspectives, to look beyond her own boundaries. We will use the outcomes of the project, e.g. a thorough analysis and identification of factors of volunteer recruitment and binding, to design a framework for our actual and future volunteer work flow.
If you would like to get insight into a wonderful charity foundation, having both a scientific and creative mindset, than we’re sure that you’re at the right place at Wigwam!
