Streekproductenplein (The Regional Products Square)

Streekproductenplein is a close-knit community focused on more conscious consumption and production.
We believe that things can be done differently. We are committed to sourcing through chains that are as short and transparent as possible. Streekproductenplein increases consumer and producer awareness. We do this by offering food, drink and other products from the region and from the season. We are also committed to a fair and better business model for farmers and local SMEs, and we pursue sustainability across the board. We accelerate by connecting, rather than thinking in terms of competition, and we believe in real action.

To further accelerate, develop and grow the Streekproductenplein, we need your help! We would like to make the Streekproductenplein as widely known as possible, throughout Limburg’s agricultural entrepreneurs. Ultimately, we would like to know the possibilities of upscaling the Streekproductenplein within catering for education, sports and organizations within the private and public domain in the province of Limburg.

To do this, we need a team of bright and engaged students to help us with:

  • Gaining insight into the values, incentives and barriers of purchasing regional products or including regional products?
  • Defining how can these insights be used to boost the overall market share for regional products?
  • Defining the growth potential for regional products among the target group, where are opportunities for expanding market share?
  • Gaining insights into how the principles of Beter Bij Ons BV / Streekproductenplein, as currently applied to the catering of the province of Limburg, fit within the objectives ” within education, sports and organizations within the private and public domain in the province of Limburg.

Are you that student who can critically examine the aforementioned issues, who is able to provide well-founded advice based on a sound analysis, and who can make our flywheel turn faster in order to achieve our goals? If you are able to work independently, but are also able to make connections and cooperate with other disciplines, then we would like to meet you.

At F-Fort, we specialize in change management within procurement and facility management. Making the organization more sustainable, strengthening contact relationships and stimulating innovations play a major role in this. When changing the procurement or facility process, we specialize in three types of change.

  • Implement sustainability within the organization: objectives around sustainability cannot be left out of your organization. We help to translate sustainable objectives concretely to the facility management and procurement department. In addition, our change processes are of a sustainable nature because they move with the requirements and are permanent.
  • Achieving innovative objectives: F-Fort specializes in both process innovation and organizational innovation. Process innovation translates into various forms of work aimed at stimulating creativity. In organizational innovation, we get a company moving. In a creative, flexible way.
  • Intensifying collaborations: every change has a human side. F-Fort focuses on leadership development, conflict management, decision-making and improving collaboration. We optimize chain collaborations.

F-Fort is a shareholder of Beter Bij Ons. One of the focus areas within Beter Bij Ons is the “ Streekproductenplein”.

Streekproductenplein is a close-knit community focused on more conscious consumption and production.

  • Originated from the LOF program rotated from F-Fort b.v. from 2018 and focuses on Socially Responsible Purchasing in local and short chains.
  • Puts the farmer back at the center in all respects, is ideally suited to the current zeitgeist.
  • Is a community to which > 140 farmers in Limburg are now connected.
  • Runs technically on its own database, from which we can serve both individual webshops and B2B chains. There are now >1,000 products from >30 producers.
  • Works together with 16 partners to create a broad and strong network
  • Won, together with Vitam b.v., the tender for the next 5 years for the Province of Limburg, whereby the first B2B chain has been operational since August 8, 2022 in the province Limburg.
  • Won, together with Trichter b.v., the tender for the next 5 years for Magisch Maastricht Vrijthof, an event that attracts 750.000 visitors annually, whereby a Regional Products Square consisting of 10 chalets will be set up.
