By 2050, Europe will become the first climate neutral continent. This is the goal of the European Green Deal, enshrined in the European Climate Law. To achieve this ambitious objective, not only civil society and governments will need to make an effort but also our economy needs to be transformed.
For this purpose, the European Commission has adopted several laws resulting in mandatory sustainability requirements for businesses. Particularly the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and the EU-Taxonomy oblige large companies to publish comprehensive sustainability information.
This represents a major challenge for many of our clients and will therefore be a very important topic for us as well. Since the legislation is new, consulting companies have only positioned themselves recently. Nevertheless, many of them have already published different materials on those topics.
Therefore, it would be very interesting for us to analyse the market and identify best practice cases concerning different aspects, such as marketing, service depth, etc. That way, we could develop an action plan to improve our own sustainability regulation services and to find the best way to successfully support our clients and meet their needs.
